About a month ago, I went to my sister’s graduation ceremony at the University of Jordan. I really wasn’t prepared for what unfolded that afternoon. The stadium was packed with future graduates full families ( which in the Arab world consist of a tooon of people), World Cup like festivities and celebratory songs. Even though I was unprepared…it was awesome. One of the best parts was sharing in such a big moment in my sisters life…she literally had a huge smile pasted to her face for hours. Its experiences and relationships like these that make the hard parts about living, working, and studying overseas sooo incredibly worthwhile.
PS- for those of you back home who don’t already know… Yes, I’m still alive.
